What am I doing?

Evidently, there is this alternate universe I’ve been oblivious to until now. Over the last few weeks, I’ve received several requests from friends to join Facebook. I ignored the first couple, but then I got curious wondering what all the fuss was about. Do you know what I discovered? EVERYONE I KNOW IS ON FACEBOOK! Who knew? Why doesn’t anyone talk about this? Our pastor is even on there for crying out loud! Could it be that we’re all a little embarrassed to admit it?!? So here you go, I will admit it. I’m on Facebook, and it’s actually a really fun way to connect with people. I’ve added some of my photography and Global Orphan Team to the community to help spread the word.
I’m twittering, and I’m on Facebook now. I had no idea peer pressure was still so influential at this age.
My Facebook (She says under her breath trying to hide the shame ;)).
Setting: getting him dressed for school and trying to get him fired up about it.
Mommy: Are you excited to go to school and play with your friends?
Cameron: No! JP’s house!
Mommy: We may go to JP’s house tomorrow, but you have to go to school today, won’t that be fun?!
Cameron: No, Mommy. Mommy home. Cameron home.
Mommy: Mommy will come pick you up after you play at school and we’ll come home together, okay?
Cameron: No, Mommy. Daddy?
Mommy: Daddy’s at work.
Cameron: Sissy?
Mommy: Sissy’s at school.
Cameron: (starts to cry) Mommmmmy…..Sissy hug?
Mommy: Yes, baby, you can hug Sissy when she gets home. Do you miss Sissy?
Cameron: Yeeeeeeeeessss! Mommmmmmy! Home! Snuggle Cameron.
Yes, this really happened. No exaggeration. The boy is trying to kill me. One heartbreak at a time. I’m sure of it.
The story of my life! Somehow, I’ve found myself with three jobs: Mommy, director of Global Orphan Team, and photographer. All of which I love, but I need to find some sort of a system to balance it all, hence the lack of blogging.
The laundry did get done today though, a grocery store trip was made, and the GOT website is up…not perfect yet, but up. Progress!
Here’s an inside tip…Mission trip|Guatemala|March 28-April 4, 2009! Mark your calendar!
Two of my most favorite people in the world are coming tomorrow (babies in tow) and I can’t wait for them to get here. It is such a blessing to get to work with your best friends. That way, you get to see them more often ;).
I so want to go, but not sure if I can this time around. Ferdy starts a new job in a couple of weeks and not sure he can take a week off in March….. Will there be another one in 2009?
